Be Grateful You’re an American!
Whoowee! A hat-trick of feminine flyers. Check out this story on CJTF82 about the Smith Sisters.

OK, so the Taliban and al-Qaeda may not find the skies so friendly, but the rest of us can sleep soundly at night knowing these fine ladies have us covered.

Thanks for your service to our country, Smith sisters. Your family must be very proud.

Can you imagine?? PMS and an AH-64??
The rags would never know what hit em…

Is TexasFred sure he busted into the correct medical files? Afterall, Smith is a common last name. Not very gentlemanly, TexasFred. These ladies are my heroes to say the least.

I think it’s reat that these women want to serve the greatest country in the world as pilots. They’d look alot better if they were Marines in Dress Blues though. Good luck to all three of these heros in their military careers.

Karen, it was an attempt at humor, NOT a denigration of ANYONE… Lighten up… Maybe you didn’t get it, maybe you don’t know what an AH-64 is… In any case, NO APOLOGY for a bit of humor… But if you’re offended, I’ll pull your blog off my Great American Gun Bloggers list, make me no difference..
Adios, I won’t darken your door again…

Sorry for the misunderstanding GunnNutt, the way Karen is talking, I thought it was HER site, and I don’t stay where I’m not welcome…
Glad you cleared that up…
July 30th, 2008 at 10:22 pm
And I think I just saw what Karen thinks was not *gentlemanly*…
I guess a mans mind runs a bit different when it comes to matters of WAR…
RAGS… The RAG HEADS Karen, not what YOU were apparently thinking…
AH-64… An Apache Attack Helicopter, best gun platform to date… One that strikes instant fear into the hearts of our enemies, and thus, in the hands of a woman with PMS, the ultimate weapon…
And the *rags* would never know what hit em…
OK, GN, got it off my chest, see ya later, YOUR listing is back…

Dear GN–I just stumbled upon your blog today, and am thoroughly enjoying it! Even this little dust-up that has obviously settled down by now on this page…sorry, but I had to respond. It just irks me about all these women who are so ready to launch into “offended mode”–I wish we could all just let folks have their say without jumping to conclusions (wrong ones at that!) croikey, even I got what poor ol’ Texas Fred was sayin’ and I have never been in the military, to know what the AH-64 was…but I figured that it was some kind of handy tool for sending jihadis off to see their 72…and c’mon, lets be truthful….we DO get PMS now and then. It’s a fact. That’s what makes us so “dangerous”!! (From a 6 ft tall redhead with a warrior heart) Cheers!

Now that’s what I like to see! Strong women representing. Love it.

Thanks alot everyone. I was only thinking of the parents who might google info on their daughters’ awards and this is what they get.Their daughters reduced to a bodily function. Think of them instead of trying to put me in this box.I wouldn’t want an apology from Texas Fred. Check his blog out. He runs a tight ship over there and comes over here and says bullshit to another commentor. Somehow the host hurried to try to make TexasFred here feel good but a long standing churchlady got no such email. I am so out of here.

I’ve seen the story of the Smith sisters before, on Blackfive and Argghhh. Comments ranged from “HOT DAMN, how do I get on THEIR flights!” to “WOW! Their parents must be so proud of them!” Some were sexist, most were not, but even the sexist ones had a real ring of respect for these women.
Fred, you need to learn when to STFU, be a man and suck it up when you’re called out on a sexist comment instead of trying to prove you were just joking. Long answers only make it worse. Cut your losses and move on to the next day, next topic, next post.
Karen, you need to come back! Period.
