Surf’s Up III!
Once again the great folks at AmpSurf will be hosting a group of Wounded Warriors for a week of surf, sand, sun and fun. I posted about the first event in “These guys will try anything!” if you would like to see pics and read the story from Donna, Los Osos. I got the heads-up about this year’s event from Dana Cummings, AmpSurf’s Executive Director:
Hey all:
Please note that we did this again in 2007 and are doing it this year August 14th-18th, 2008. If you would like to come out and Volunteer we would love to have you. Also if you are a veteran and would like to learn to surf please contact us to participate. Just go to the website http://www.ampsurf.com and click on Operation Restoration III.

Thanks to everyone who can out to support what we are doing for the troops in Pismo Beach. We could not do these events with out such great support.

Ampsurf will be leading the instruction for the surfing portion of the first annual Summer Sports Clinic (Sept. 29th - Oct 3rd) in San Diego. We will be teaching 100 veterans over five days (20 a day ) the rehabilitating power of adaptive surfing. Please go to http://www.ampsurf.com and download the signup volunteer sign-up form for the Summer Sports Clinic, and please send it back to the VA contact Teresa ASAP. We could really use a lot of help out in the water and these fine young men and women deserve all that we can do for them. We want this event to be as big a success as our ones up in Pismo Beach
