I had the distinct pleasure of meeting General Pace on New Years Day 2006. After a long, all-night convoy from Al Hillah through Fallujah and Ramadi, I was greeted by the highest ranking active Marine in the history of our beloved Corps -- who thanked <i>ME</i> for my service. General Pace's leadership will be - and is already - missed. A true leader of warriors. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting General Pace on New Years Day 2006.
