Be Grateful You’re an American!
Sgt. 1st Class Paul R. Smith had a middle school named after him in Holiday on August 25th.
It’s so great to see evidence that America is NOT forgetting who our heroes really are.

Tribes. "I am not a wolf. I have never harmed a person in my life. But I am not a sheep, either. I know these forces are out there, and wishing it were not so will not only not make them go away – it will rob me of my chance to kick their ass when they show up."

Aside from the fact that these men and women volunteer to serve their nation it is always the case that we hear/read comments like this about them – “If he were here today, he would be explaining he was only doing his job,â€
OUR job is to make sure these courageous men and women continue to be remembered for their sacrifice on our behalf.

It’s great to see that some states are paying attention, and realize who really should be honored.

Yes, Sammy D. he has my vote for the calendar, too. Those middle schoolers can say the name of their school with pride.

It is great to see our heroes being recognized. The American Legion from my small town contacts the family of a service member and sends them a $10 check. It is not much but they are remembered. It would be great to see more highways, streets & bridges named after our wonderful military guys.
