Yeah, I’m Slow…SMASH in Town!

‘Twasn’t until I saw him last night that I learned SMASH was in town! He reported for duty July 7th and will be here for a while working on a project.

My Assignment: I’m stuck in a little cubbyhole of an office a few blocks away, working as the military liaison to a tiny government commission that has “White House” in its name, but otherwise has little interaction with the denizens of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. It’s a temporary active duty assignment, through the end of the fiscal year (September 30).

The totally cool part of his being in the Nation’s Capital are the posts of his interactions with FreeRepublic’s arch nemeses of CodePink! Check out his lunchtime walk posts for some very illuminating and entertaining “dialog” with the moonbats.

And the thing is we don’t really even know if that guy with the uniform remnants was actually in the Army or posing to gain the friendship of Code Pink. There are a lot of posers out there.

SMASH checked up on the guy and he is legit (in the sense that he really did serve and went to Iraq). His service was less than stellar (reminiscent of John “I served in Vietnam” Kerry).
