Be Grateful You’re an American!
You can’t look at any MSM news site without finding a link or counter showing the number of U.S. Troops who gave all in the GWOT. The numbers are trumpeted as each new round figure is reached. This is the one statistic that has any real meaning to the anti-American left. But what about the terrorists?
I’ve created my own Dead Terrorist counter! It will keep track of all the terrorist asshats that have assumed room temperature since al-Zarqawi was turned into a true splodytard (June 7, 2006).
| Iraq: | 3579 |
| Afghanistan: | 4815 |
| Total Dead: | 8394 |
The numbers are extracted from a MySQL database which I update with any news/release info found on the various DoD web sites. I know darned well there are more “kills” than are reported to the public but this is what I can find by searching various DoD sites.
Coming soon: a page with a dump from the database and hopefully a way to put this counter on my/your sidebar!

I asked that guy from CENTCOM, the one that let’s bloggers know when something cool happens, I think his name is Sgt. Gehlen, if he had access to some total bodycount of dead terrorists, but he didn’t have access to that info.

I don’t think DoD is going to make this easy for anyone to compile. I’m relying on my feeble ability to “search” and the kindness of bloggers to point me to links that give good numbers. Plus, I’m still learning this whole web programming thang.
I’d like to create a form for others to use to submit links but the sidebar-script comes first!

Are you counting named famous terrorists or just terrorists in general? If it is the second, your number seems very low. But I like the idea!
Oh duh. Since Bubba got the crap blow outta him. I’m still asleep, I swear. Carry on! I love it!

Cpl M – Even though the count is post-splodytard, I think it’s too low as well! If you have a good source for info, let me know
